Susse Freres Foundry
Tracing its origins to 1758, the Paris foundry of Susse Brothers is most well known to collectors for their production of fine art bronze sculptures in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Their catalogue represented the work of many leading artists of the time, including Yevgeny Lanceray, Pierre Jules Mene and Mathurin Moreau. The firm continued its art casting work into the 1990′s and may continue in operation today. Their work was memorialized in the book Susse Freres, 150 Years of Sculpture by Pierre Cadet, Paris, 1992.
