Charles P. Reiffel (1862 to 1942)
Charles Reiffel was born in 1862 in Indianapolis, Indiana. His primary association is with San Diego, California where he was a landscape painter. He worked six years with the Stowbridge Lithography Company in Cincinnati and in 1921 relocated to Southern California and dedicated most of his time painting regional landscapes, but also was known for marine paintings, and his graphics. Charles was a member of the California Art Club, Silvermine Guild, Society of Independent Artists and the Salmagundi Club. He passed away in San Diego in 1942.
