Oliver Dennett Grover (1861-1927)

Oliver Grover was born and raised in Illinois. He studied first at the Royal Academy in Munich and then in Florence as one of Frank Duveneck’s “Boys”. Prior to returning to the States in 1885, he also studied briefly in Paris. He went on to teach at the Art Institute of Chicago and he completed large projects for the World’s Columbian Exposition and several large libraries.
