Sofia Pino Medina (1932- )
Sofia Pino Medina was trained by her grandmother-in-law, Trinidad Medina, who encouraged her to create in traditional styles and sizes; providing some of the largest Zia vessels in the second-half of the 20th century. Her work is found in collections of The American School of American Research, Harvard University, and the Peabody Museum. In addition her pottery is published in American Indian Art Magazine 1981, 1990, 1995 and most recently in Harlow and Lanmon 2003.
